The Software Engineer will leverage their expertise with Python to support the customer’s data pipelines and related applications, from collection to ingestion, and ensure the integrity and security of data systems. You will play a critical role in delivering relevant and actionable cyber data to the right customers in a format that is normalized and actionable by cyber analysts and data scientists.\n\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\n\nDesign, build, optimize, and maintain resilient data pipelines using Python, with a focus on data collection, ingestion, ETL, and analytics\n\nDevelop and support complex data solutions, including data transformation, validation, and quality controls\n\nIntegrate data from a variety of internal and external sources, including REST APIs, flat files, and structured/semi-structured formats\n\nEnsure data is available, accessible, reliable, and securely handled to meet stakeholder and operational needs\n\nTest, troubleshoot, and validate data movement, parsing, and transformation code across development and production environments\n\nProvide platform and production support, including debugging, root cause analysis, issue resolution, and ongoing maintenance\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data products and help end users understand and effectively use analytics environments\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nHigh School Diploma and 5+ years’ experience with software development in Python\n\nExperience with data engineering\n\nExperience building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, and ingestion workflows\n\nExperience with Git/GitHub or similar version control systems\n\nExperience with common data formats such as JSON, XML, CSV, and other structured or semi-structured data\n\nExperience working with Bash, Linux, and command-line tools in a development or production environment\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or similar technical field\n\nExperience with Elasticsearch and Kibana\n\nExperience with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, and S3\n\nExperience with data analytics and visualization tools\n\nKnowledge of cyber operations\n\nCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP certification)\n\nClearance Requirements: An active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph is required\n\nPhysical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time","company":"ManTech","rawCompany":"mantech","city":"Reston","state":"VA","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-08-23T07:18:32.056Z","occupations":[{"code":"15-1252.00","title":"Software Developers","slug":"software-developers"},{"code":"15-1299.08","title":"Computer Systems Engineers/Architects","slug":"computer-systems-engineers-architects"},{"code":"15-1243.01","title":"Data Warehousing Specialists","slug":"data-warehousing-specialists"}],"industries":[{"code":"541512","title":"Computer Systems Design Services","slug":"computer-systems-design-services"},{"code":"541511","title":"Custom Computer Programming Services","slug":"custom-computer-programming-services"},{"code":"513210","title":"Software Publishers","slug":"software-publishers"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Software Engineer","description":"MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Herndon VA.
