This position is responsible for learning the finishing and painting process. Come be a part of a positive, people-first culture that is focused on leveraging each team members’ strengths to help bring our customers’ unique signage products to life.\n\nWage Range: $22.59 - $29.91(Posted range inclusive of 3rd shift premium)\nLocation: Cannon Falls, MN\n\nType: Full Time, On-site\nSchedule: 5/8 hour days;11:00pm - 7:30am (Monday through Friday)\n - Overtime is scheduled as needed\n\nA day in the life of a Painter at Gemini includes:\nThis role will require learning and flexibility to support shipping activities as directed.\nAssembles letters or other products to be sprayed and paint supplies required for the order.\nMixes appropriate quantity of paint for the order, insuring that the paint is properly mixed as indicated by local conditions and matching paint chips or samples if required.\nMay mask parts as required prior to applying paint or texturing. Removes masking materials after completion of drying cycle.\nSprays products as required, ensuring that paint is applied in a manner consistent with customer requirements and company quality standards.\nMixes and sprays hardening agents on products as required on the order.\nPlaces painted parts in a drying area or oven.\nReturns painted parts to the next work station in the production process after determining that parts are adequately dried.\nMaintains an adequate inventory of paint products, and notifies the designated Supervisor of the need to reorder additional materials.\nInsures that all department equipment is maintained in an adequate manner.\nMaintains an awareness of the means by which process improvements can be achieved, and makes related recommendations to the department Supervisor.\nCompletes records of department production including waste materials and units produced.\nConstantly works toward producing products that are acceptable by company standards of quality.\nMaintains the department in a neat and orderly manner at all times, cleaning air filters and exhaust system as required\nSkills and Abilities:\nOur ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail with openness and flexibility to assist in shipping as well as work around the plant.\n\nThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
