Includes new product design, rationalization of existing product lines, redesign for cost reductions or product standardization and product line expansions.\nPRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nPrepare/maintain 3D models, 2D design drawings, schematics/specifications from Design Engineer sketches, plans and written/verbal instructions, for manufacturing/sourcing/assembly purposes.\nWork closely with Design Engineers to resolve design details/discrepancies on new projects as well as sustaining activities.\nPrepare bill of material and project specific specifications.\nAdhere to departmental procedure and standards to achieve highest quality of throughput.\nParticipate on special assignments as assigned.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nProficient with computers, SOLIDWORKS (or AutoCAD) and MS Office software.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence.\nAbility to speak effectively to customers, vendors or employees of organization.\nEstablished understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) as well as ASME drafting standards.\nBasic understanding of machining/assembly practices.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nAssociates degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design, or equivalent.\nMust have good work ethic, self-confidence, and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.\nStrong presentation skills and ability to communicate at all levels.\nHighly organized, detail orientated and proactive.
