The position holder will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and integrating software products alongside a global team of engineers.\n\nEssential Job Functions\n\nWork with a team to develop innovative features and functionality for Light & Wonder products, utilities, and tools\n\nResearch new technologies to modernize and elevate existing Light & Wonder products\n\nWork on refactoring, improving, and optimizing existing code base\n\nDesign and build libraries that will be shared with other Light & Wonder product\n\nEmbrace best coding practices, such as secure coding guidelines, test driven development, continuous integration workflow\n\nProvide prompt resolution to bugs/issues by using debugging skill\n\nTraining and/or Experience\n\nGaming industry experience is preferred but not required\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\n\nDemonstratable Knowledge of C# and C++\n\nKnowledge of Client-Server Architecture basics\n\nDemonstratable knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Concepts and Principles\n\nFamiliarity with Database Architecture\n\nHave a high degree of comfort with software development tools such as IDEs/compilers, debuggers, profilers, and version control systems\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English\n\nExcellent teamwork skills\n\nExcellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset\n\nQualifications\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nDemonstratable Knowledge of SQL query writing\n\nFamiliarity with Web UI design\n\nKnowledge of Operating System’s basics\n\nKnowledge of PowerShell\n\nFamiliarity with development tools such as Visual studio, Perforce, Git, Jira, etc.\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
