Automation Tester

Digital Strategy LLC is looking to hire an Automation Tester to help support a federal client, with the goal of consolidating five separate modules into a single software system that integrates and streamlines business processes for our client’s core mission areas. This role will strategize, test, and evaluate new or modified software changes based on business requirements to ensure quality product of service work using test automation following best coding practices and automation standards. This hybrid role requires a minimum of 2 days a week onsite in Rockville, MD, and periodic trips to Washington, DC. As the Automation Tester, you will: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Telerik Test Studio. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated testing into the development workflow. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and establish automation strategies and processes. Utilize Azure DevOps for source control, build management, and continuous integration. Implement the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern for test automation. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated tests and CI/CD processes. Mentor and guide junior automation engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging tools, and technologies in test automation and CI/CD. Develop comprehensive documentation for automated test processes and frameworks. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 10 years of total work experience. 8+ years of experience in test automation using Selenium with C#/.Net or other related tools such as Test Studio Experience with CI/CD integration and pipeline management. Proficiency in using Azure DevOps for source control and build management. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, frameworks, and tools. Experience implementing the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Due to federal guidelines, US Citizenship is required; candidate must be able to pass a federal background check and ability to obtain a public trust clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Telerik Test Studio or willingness to learn and adapt to new tools. Knowledge of other test automation tools and frameworks. Experience with performance and load testing. Experience in Agile product development methodologies, fostering flexibility and adaptability.
