Job TypePart-timeDescriptionJOB SUMMARYAt Bear Tooth, the primary responsibility of a server is to ensure that every patron has an exceptional dining experience. This involves welcoming guests, taking accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring that orders are delivered promptly and of high quality, processing payments, and working collaboratively with colleagues to meet each customer's specific needs and expectations. This position is seasonal and will end in mid-September with the conclusion of the summer season.Applicants must have 1+ year restaurant experience. Open availability preferred; weekends required. This position is seasonal, running through the summer until mid-September.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDuties & ResponsibilitiesAdhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policiesExtensive knowledge of the food, drink, and specials menusAccurately take, ring in, and serve orders to the customers' specificationsAble to use the POS systems with efficiencyMonitor guests throughout their visit, ensuring their satisfaction with products and servicesConduct all monetary transactions with attention to detailHandle, store, date, and rotate all products properlyPromptly report equipment and food quality issues to a managerCommunicate clearly and professionally with all persons in the restaurantComplete all opening, closing, and side dutiesWork as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respectRequirementsQualificationsMust be 21 years of age or older with a current TAPS Card and Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card. Previous serving or bartending experience is preferred but not required.Skills, Abilities & Work ConditionsStand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaksWork in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditionsLift and carry 30+lbs.Have good manual dexterity, coordination, and staminaBend, reach, stoop, move quickly, and wipe frequentlyWork in close proximity to coworkers in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivation and the ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiencyBasic knowledge of alcoholic beverage terminologyWe love great benefits, and you should too!
