Instrumentation & Controls Technician (I/C Tech) Duration: Long-Term Contract Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Technician (I/C Tech) for a long-term contract opportunity. This role is ideal for a hands-on controls professional with experience troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems in industrial or data center environments. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and reliability on the jobsite. Position Overview The Instrumentation & Controls Technician will be responsible for supporting instrumentation, electrical controls, commissioning, and maintenance activities in an industrial environment. Candidates should be comfortable working with instrumentation devices, troubleshooting electrical and control systems, and utilizing diagnostic tools and field technology to support daily operations. Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systemsPerform diagnostics and testing on electrical and control componentsUtilize testing and calibration equipment to identify and resolve issuesSupport commissioning, startup, and maintenance activitiesRead and interpret electrical drawings, loop diagrams, schematics, and control documentationPerform preventative and corrective maintenance on instrumentation systemsUtilize tools such as Fluke 787 meters and iPads to support field operations and reportingSupport jobsite activities while maintaining quality and safety standardsCoordinate with supervisors and project teams to ensure successful project execution Preferred QualificationsExperience working in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or data center environmentsExperience troubleshooting instrumentation and electrical control systemsFamiliarity with field instrumentation devices and calibration proceduresExperience supporting startup and commissioning activitiesStrong understanding of electrical safety and lockout/tagout proceduresExperience working extended schedules and overtime as needed QualificationsPrevious experience as an Instrumentation & Controls Technician or similar roleStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable transportation and dependable attendanceAbility to work in physically demanding environments and lift materials/equipment as neededStrong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship Aspen Technical Staffing CELEBRATING 25 YEARS ~2001-2026~ We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
