We are in an active growth and acquisition phase, building financial infrastructure to support a multi-entity operating model and a private equity reporting cadence.\nAbout the Role\nThe Controller owns the accounting function and financial reporting across all entities. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader who can both run a clean monthly close and navigate the technical complexity of purchase accounting, multi-entity consolidation, and PE-grade reporting. The Controller will partner closely with the VP of Finance on M&A integration, audit readiness, and ERP transition (NetSuite implementation underway).\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial Close & Reporting\nOwn the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across all entities\nDeliver consolidated and entity-level financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) on a sub 10 day close.\nPartner with FP&A on budget-to-actual reporting and other cross-functional workstreams\nAssist in the monthly PE reporting package, support quarterly board materials, and ad-hoc investor requests\nAccounting Operations\nOversee billing, accounts payable, and general ledger activity across all entities performing monthly accruals, payroll entries, revenue recognition, and other monthly close tasks\nEnsure timely and accurate reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts\nEstablish and maintain appropriate internal controls\nOversee multi-state tax compliance, payroll tax filings, and registered agent coordination\nTechnical Accounting\nASC 805 (business combinations), ASC 606 (revenue), ASC 842 (leases), and other relevant standards\nWork with external firms on purchase accounting for completed and future acquisitions, including opening balance sheets, goodwill, and earnout accounting\nDocument accounting positions and prepare technical memos for auditors\nServe as integral role in annual financial statement audit preparation and completion\nM&A & Integration\nSupport deal diligence, quality of earnings, and post-close integration\nPlay significant role in financial integration of acquired entities, including chart of accounts mapping, policy alignment, and systems integration\nRequired Qualifications\n10+ years of progressive accounting experience\nPrior managerial experience\nExperience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany activity\nStrong working knowledge of US GAAP and ability to understand technical accounting research\nAdvanced Excel skills; experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, or comparable ERP platforms\nStrong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical memos and reporting commentary\nAbility to operate in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with shifting priorities\nPreferred Qualifications\nCPA\nPrior Controller or Assistant Controller experience\nExperience in a PE-backed environment\nStaffing or services industry experience\nERP implementation experience\nExperience integrating acquired entities\nWhat You'll Step Intro\nFast paced environment with a great team\nThe early stages of NetSuite implementation\nPlanning and prep for opening balance sheet audit (in 2027)\nOpportunity to work for a growing PE-backed acquisitive company\nCompensation package also includes 15% bonus and equity (ISOs)\nWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
