Social Media Manager - Full Time (Beginning July, 2026)
Position SummaryNerinx Hall is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Social Media Manager to lead the school’s social media presence across multiple platforms. This role is responsible for developing and executing engaging content that reflects the spirit of Nerinx Hall, highlights student life, and strengthens connections with key audiences including prospective families, current families, alumnae, and the broader community.This is a highly collaborative role that works across departments to ensure consistent, compelling storytelling aligned with the school’s mission and brand.The Social Media Manager reports to the Director of Communications.Key ResponsibilitiesContent Creation & StorytellingCapture and produce high-quality photo and video content that reflects daily life at Nerinx Hall, including events, academics, arts, athletics, and student experiencesCreate short-form video content for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok)Develop and maintain a consistent, mission-aligned voice and visual identity across platformsOrganize and maintain a digital library of photo and video assetsSocial Media ManagementManage and maintain Nerinx Hall’s official social media presence across major platformsPlan and execute a strategic content calendar that balances a high volume of content across multiple audiences and prioritiesMonitor engagement, respond as appropriate, and ensure a positive and consistent brand presenceTrack performance and provide regular analytics reports with insights and recommendationsStudent Content Team LeadershipRecruit, train, and oversee a team of student content creators who contribute to social media coverageProvide guidance, structure, and creative direction to ensure content aligns with Nerinx Hall’s brand and communication goalsCoordinate student coverage of events and school activitiesClub Account OversightProvide oversight and guidance for student-run club and organization social media accountsMaintain clear expectations and policies for student use of social mediaServe as a resource for students managing accounts and ensure alignment with institutional standardsCollaboration & Campaign SupportCollaborate with departments across the school - including Admissions, Advancement, Athletics, and Campus Ministry - to support events, initiatives, and storytelling needsAssist in promoting key school initiatives and campaigns through coordinated social media effortsWebsite & Digital Content SupportContribute content to the Nerinx Hall website, including student highlights and alumnae featuresAssist in the creation and distribution of a weekly internal email newsletterQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, or a related field1–3 years of relevant experience (including internships or college experience)Strong photography and videography skills, with the ability to capture and edit engaging contentFamiliarity with social media platforms, trends, and best practicesBasic experience with video editing and content creation toolsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesComfort working in a fast-paced, event-driven environmentAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyPreferred SkillsExperience with social media analytics and performance trackingFamiliarity with paid social media advertisingExperience working with students or youth in a leadership or mentorship capacityPlease send a cover letter and resume to Warren Laird at communications@nerinxhs.org.
