This position is responsible for delivering hands-on training, reinforcing operational standards, and supporting continuous improvement across day and night shifts (12-hour rotations).\r\nShift Hours\r\nDay and Night Shifts Available\r\n12-Hour Rotational Schedule\r\nTraining Responsibilities\r\nConducts onboarding and orientation for new warehouse employees.\r\nDelivers structured training on equipment use, safety protocols, and warehouse procedures.\r\nSupports cross-training initiatives to build team versatility and operational resilience.\r\nAssists in evaluating trainee performance and providing constructive feedback.\r\nCollaborate with supervisors to identify training needs and skill gaps.\r\nOperational Duties\r\nEnsures training materials and equipment are available and functional.\r\nThis leads to safety demonstrations and daily equipment checks (e.g., forklifts, tuggers, trailers).\r\nVerifies trainees' understanding of quality standards and delivery protocols.\r\nMaintains accurate training records and documentation.\r\nCommunicates updates on policies, procedures, and performance expectations.\r\nParticipate in continuous improvement efforts and share feedback from trainees.\r\nSupports conflict resolution by reinforcing communication and teamwork principles.\r\nMay assist with equipment requests and operational audits.\r\nRequired Skills & Abilities\r\nStrong interpersonal and coaching skills.\r\nClear and confident verbal and written communication.\r\nAbility to motivate and engage learners across experience levels.\r\nConflict resolution and team-building capabilities.\r\nOrganizational skills for managing training schedules and documentation.\r\nFamiliarity with warehouse documentation (e.g., inventory logs, delivery slips).\r\nIn-depth knowledge of warehouse safety and operational procedures.\r\nEducation & Experience\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.\r\nMinimum 2 years of warehouse or logistics experience.\r\nPrior experience in training, mentoring, or instructional roles is a plus.\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nActive presence on the warehouse floor (standing, walking).\r\nAbility to lift 2530 pounds as needed.\r\nRegular participation in safety walks and equipment inspections.\r\nGFA is an equal opportunity employer, and we value diversity of all kinds.\r\nGFA does not discriminate based on race, sex, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other category protected by local, state, or federal laws.
