The selected candidate will provide engineering expertise in support of system integration, testing, and sustainment efforts across ESS environments, including systems such as LAMAS, AMAS, ALARMS, GBRS, AVG, APT, AVB, FDB, MAVB, and PSIMS.\nThis position requires comprehensive experience in network engineering, system configuration, and laboratory integration activities supporting CNIC and NIWC enterprise environments.\nRequirements:\nPrimary Responsibilities\nEngineer, integrate, and sustain systems in support of the ESS OTC Lab Environment and CNIC/NIWC operational requirements.\nSupport testing, configuration, and validation of systems such as LAMAS, AMAS, ALARMS, GBRS, AVG, APT, AVB, FDB, MAVB, and PSIMS.\nDesign and implement reliable network communication architectures across ESS components, ensuring secure connectivity and performance optimization.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and configuration baselines for ESS system integration and laboratory operations.\nPerform system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and performance tuning across interconnected ESS and enterprise networks.\nCoordinate with CNIC and NIWC stakeholders to ensure ESS laboratory systems meet engineering, security, and functional objectives.\nSupport virtualization technologies used in lab environments (e.g., VMware ESXi, Hyper-V).\nParticipate in test events, evaluation activities, and engineering reviews related to ESS capability upgrades and system enhancements.\nCollaborate with cybersecurity personnel to ensure compliance with RMF, DISA STIGs, and security posture standards.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (experience may substitute for education).\nMinimum of 6+ years of progressive experience in network and systems engineering, including at least 3 years supporting Navy or DoD laboratory environments.\nActive DoD Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).\nProven experience supporting CNIC and/or NIWC engineering or integration efforts in a Navy ESS or related environment.\nHands-on experience with LAMAS, AMAS, ALARMS, GBRS, AVG, APT, AVB, FDB, MAVB, and PSIMS systems.\nStrong knowledge of Cisco enterprise-level infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.\nProficiency in routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLAN configuration, and network troubleshooting.\nExperience configuring and maintaining virtualized systems and networked testbeds.\nFamiliarity with DoD IT systems architecture, testing procedures, and accreditation processes.\nPreferred Qualifications\nIAT Level II or higher certification (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or SSCP).\nCisco CCNP/CCIE or equivalent network certification (Juniper, Aruba, etc.).\nFamiliarity with CANES, ACS, or other Navy enterprise networks.\nExperience supporting lab-based integration, testing, and configuration control of multiple system baselines.\nWorking knowledge of network monitoring, system imaging, and configuration management tools.\nStrong communication and technical documentation skills.\nWhy CompQsoft\nJoin CompQsoft in supporting CNIC and NIWC initiatives that enhance the Navy’s enterprise support capabilities.
