A Data Architect brings value and leadership throughout the organization and will be expected to serve in the following areas. This contract is expected to 5 months, with a possible extension through the end of year.Skills/Competencies & EducationThese are the characteristics that we look for in people who can effectively fill the role:Must Have Technical Skills7+ years progressively complicated database experienceExperience with writing SQL, Python, performing data analysisExperience working with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, MySql, and RDS AuroraExperience with data modeling, creating tables, indexes, views, and have a solid understanding of how relational databases workExperience loading data from source files into relational databasesExperience migrating database changes between environmentsRequired Analysis SkillsExperience working with business users, project stakeholders, and technical system experts to map data requirements back to the application source systemsExperience creating data requirements derived from screen designs, user stories, and desired scope requests, and mapping the data needs to application source systemsAbility to analyze and interpret data from reports, source systems, and data source filesExperience managing and creating data mapping documentation between systemsAbility to work with the project team, product owners to prioritize business and data needsBonus Technical SkillsFamiliar with AWS Glue, and/or other cloud based ETL toolsExperience with JSON files and formatsExperience using API testing tools like PostmanExperience querying SalesForce using WorkbenchExperience with AWS services such as S3, Lambdas, and AthenaExperience with PythonResponsibilities:Every day, these are the things that the person in this role will do successfully:Work with product stakeholders and technical SMEs to understand the relation between business objectives, workflow and enterprise dataCreate and present technical proposals to a client Architecture Control BoardData sourcing and mapping with a focus on data quality, security, integrityExplore and analyze enterprise data setsEvaluate changes and updates to source production systems, assess risksProvide technical expertise to troubleshoot data-related issues, translating technical challenges into business contextCommunicate data needs and issues to the project team and product stakeholders
