Were proud of our culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence.\r\nJob Summary\r\nThe Kaizen Engineer is a hands-on role responsible for driving continuous improvement through the design, reverse engineering, and modification of mechanical and electrical systems. This position focuses on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and enhancing manufacturing efficiency. The Kaizen Engineer works closely with maintenance, production, and cross-functional teams to identify root causes, implement sustainable solutions, and support operational excellence.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nImprove existing equipment to increase efficiency, reliability, and uptime.\r\nDesign and develop new components, equipment, or machinery to support production goals.\r\nAssist maintenance team members with troubleshooting and resolving equipment breakdowns.\r\nDiagnose root causes of mechanical and electrical issues and implement corrective actions.\r\nDesign and build electrical cabinets and related control systems.\r\nDevelop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes.\r\nPerform metal fabrication using milling machines, lathes, CNC equipment, welders, grinders, and related tools.\r\nDiagnose and repair industrial electrical systems.\r\nDiagnose and repair mechanical systems and components.\r\nWork independently or as part of a team on continuous improvement projects.\r\nCommunicate project updates, timelines, and results to cross-functional teams and management.\r\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\r\nQualifications\r\nRequired:\r\nTechnical certificate in industrial technology or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)\r\nProficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.\r\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.\r\nSolid understanding of manufacturing principles, equipment, and production processes.\r\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.\r\nPreferred:\r\nExperience in a manufacturing or production environment.\r\nKaizen or continuous improvement training/certifications.\r\nExperience with robotics, CNC machinery, pneumatics, PLCs, and industrial electrical/mechanical systems.\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nAbility to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time.\r\nFrequent presence on the production floor.\r\nAbility to lift/move up to 50 lbs, with or without assistance.\r\nWhy Youll Love Working at ATTC\r\nWe know that great work starts with great people.
