We provide a solution that combines advanced software, radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology, a dedicated customer-support team, and a secure database to track and trace cannabis from growth, harvest, and processing to testing, transport, and sale.\n\nGENERAL OVERVIEW\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer with a strong understanding of AI harnessing and engineering to design, develop, and?maintain?robust, scalable backend systems that power our enterprise applications. This role focuses on server-side development using modern technologies assisted by AI workflows, ensuring high performance, security, and seamless integration with front-end components and third-party services.?The successful candidate will have experience leveraging AI to improve their accuracy and productivity.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nImplement AI harnessing frameworks to improve output.\nDesign and implement backend architecture using .NET Framework / .NET 8 and C# aided by AI to achieve faster and more accurate outcomes.\nLeverage GitHub Copilot AI daily to deliver accurate, performant, and strong solutions to problems in record time.\nDevelop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for web and mobile applications.\nOptimize application performance, scalability, and security across distributed systems.\nImplement database solutions (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and ensure efficient query performance.\nParticipate in code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers.\nTroubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.\nEnsure compliance with security standards and data protection protocols.\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.\nStay current with emerging .NET technologies and cloud-native development trends.\nFollow a TDD methodology.\nStay current with latest AI trends, models, and workflows.\n\nMay perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.\n\nRequirements:\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field?or equivalent work experience.?\n5+ years of professional experience in backend development with .NET technologies.?\nExperience using AI assistant tools such as Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot or similar.\nExperience with LLM harnessing and applying guardrails.\nStrong?proficiency?in C#, .NET 8 or above, and?Web API.?\nExpertise?in SQL Server and relational database?design;?experience with PostgreSQL is a plus.?\nSolid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.?\nFamiliarity with Agile/Kanban?methodologies.?\nExcellent problem-solving and communication skills.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES\n\nKnowledge of?microservices?architecture and event-driven systems.?\nExperience with?Dapper, or other ORMs.?\nExposure to?DevSecOps?practices, automated testing, and performance tuning.\n\nTRAVEL\n\nThis position will require travel of approximately 25% of the work time.
