Special Packager
Summary:
AGM's Special Packager is responsible for preparing custom and specialized packaging solutions to ensure products are protected, compliant, and shipment-ready. This role involves building and packing crates and containers for sensitive or high-value items while following detailed work instructions, safety standards, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced in industrial or manufacturing environments, with a strong understanding of packaging materials, tools, and damage-prevention techniques.
The Special Packager is responsible for carrying out the following responsibilities and tasks:
Reads work assignments with minimal supervision and packages all AGM products per AGM’s and customers’ packaging specifications.
Operates required machinery and makes minor calibration adjustments when needed.
Informs AGM’s Production Supervisor of any maintenance or supply needs for the department.
Meets or exceeds pars on a regular basis.
Is responsible for asking the Special Packaging Line Supervisor if there is any problem with using the materials that have been issued.
Completes all paperwork accurately in accordance with AGM’s and customers’ specifications.
Keeps work area clean; reports or corrects any unsafe condition in a timely manner.
Assists with production work as necessary in the Valves and Desiccator departments.
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
A High School Diploma or G.E.D.
At least one year of experience working in a manufacturing environment; experience in industrial packaging, crating or shipping is preferred but not required.
Detail-oriented with the ability to closely follow work instructions, packaging specifications, contract requirements, bills of material (BOMs), and customer specifications
Basic mathematic skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages
Strong communication skills
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on occasion, and to sit and stand for long hours
Must be eligible to work in a regulated manufacturing environment and adhere to strict safety, quality and compliance standards
DRUG AND NICOTINE SCREEN/TEST REQUIREMENT

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency, or status as a U.S. Person as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
This is strictly an onsite-only position, meaning there is no remote work available for this role.
