Our development team is currently transforming a legacy monolithic single tenant AWS EC2 n-tier environment into a scalable, cutting edge solution.You will be the go-to expert for our AWS infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise-level applications used by thousands of public sector users across North America. If you love solving complex infrastructure problems, embrace emerging AI tools to amplify your impact, and want your work to matter to real communities — this role is for you.ResponsibilitiesArchitect, deploy, and manage AWS EC2 infrastructure hosting enterprise public budgeting software, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performanceOwn day-to-day operations of Windows Server and Linux environments running ASPX/VB.NET applications backed by Microsoft SQL ServerManage DNS, routing, and network configurations across Route 53 and Cloudflare, including load balancing, failover, and traffic managementLead cloud security posture management using Wiz, proactively identifying and remediating vulnerabilities and misconfigurationsAdminister and maintain AWS Patch Manager to ensure consistent, timely patching across all managed instancesSupport and maintain SAP Business Objects environments integrated with the budgeting platformInitially focus on migration of production assets from the existing AWS environment to a new modernized accountCollaborate with development and product teams to review architecture decisions and recommend infrastructure improvementsDrive cloud cost optimization efforts and capacity planningDevelop and maintain infrastructure-as-code, runbooks, and technical documentationChampion the adoption of AI tools — including Anthropic Claude and Microsoft Copilot — to enhance team productivity, automate routine tasks, and accelerate problem-solvingParticipate in on-call rotation and incident response for critical infrastructure issuesStay current with AWS services, security best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to public sector SaaSWhat You BringRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of hands-on AWS infrastructure experience, with demonstrated expertise in EC2, VPC, IAM, Route 53, and related core servicesDeep experience supporting enterprise .NET applications (ASPX, VB.NET) with Microsoft SQL Server on Windows Server in a production environmentProficiency with Route 53 and Cloudflare for DNS management, CDN configuration, and network routingHands-on experience with Wiz for cloud security and compliance posture managementExperience using AWS Patch Manager (or AWS Systems Manager) for patching Windows and Linux fleets at scaleStrong Linux and Windows Server administration skillsWorking knowledge of SAP Business Objects in an enterprise environmentDemonstrated ability to work independently and manage priorities without heavy oversightStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document infrastructure clearly for both technical and non-technical audiencesStrongly PreferredAWS certification(s): Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps Engineer – Professional preferredExperience supporting SaaS products in regulated or public sector environmentsFamiliarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation)Active enthusiasm for AI productivity tools, particularly Anthropic Claude and Microsoft Copilot, and a track record of finding creative ways to apply them in infrastructure and operations workExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesWho You AreSelf-directed.
