Electro-Mechanical Repair Technician

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Repair Technician in Killeen, Texas for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position supports depot-level repair, modification, refurbishment, troubleshooting, and testing of mission-critical electro-mechanical systems in a hands-on maintenance environment. The role focuses on repairing and validating complex subsystems, documenting maintenance activity, and supporting reliability improvements for advanced defense hardware.Required SkillsAssociate degree in a related discipline or 5–8 years of related experience1–2 years of experience with J-STD-001 solder certification for cable and harness repair1–2 years of experience troubleshooting and isolating faults using general-purpose and/or automated test equipment1–2 years of experience operating general-purpose and/or automated test equipment1–2 years of experience with industrial standards, military specifications, and industry processesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lift 35 poundsAbility to work with hazardous materialsAbility to mix and weigh chemicalsAbility to properly safety wire assemblies and connectorsBasic knowledge of Microsoft OfficePreferred SkillsJ-STD-001 solder certificationIPC-7711/IPC-7721 certificationAdditional experience repairing cables and harnessesWhat You'll DoPerform depot-level repairs, modifications, and refurbishments on components of the Modernized Target Designation Sight/Pilotage Night Vision SystemPerform repair, rework, fault isolation, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing on mechanical, electrical, structural, and hydraulic subsystems and complete systemsOperate automated and general-purpose test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers, and waveform generatorsSet up and operate conventional milling machines and drill presses to rework or repair mechanical componentsUse precision measuring equipment to verify compliance with engineering specifications and tolerancesComplete work in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, repair center procedures, field advisory bulletins, and contractor installation proceduresDocument work in automated maintenance data collection systemsProvide technical feedback on electro-mechanical components to support reliability improvementsSupport limited supply duties including loading and unloading trucks and operating overhead hoistsWork safely with hazardous materials and chemicals using required PPEJob ID: 21272Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
