We’re seeking an Automation Engineer to join our team and contribute to real-world projects —from system design and programming through testing, startup, commissioning, and customer support. The ideal candidate is technically strong, hands-on, customer-focused, and passionate about solving complex automation challenges using industry-leading technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership Support automation design and engineering decisions for manufacturing and process control systems.Coordinate with customers and project teams (PMs, electricians, panel builders, and engineers) to ensure solutions meet scope and requirements.Participate in control panel reviews, equipment testing, and system validation activities.Follow company engineering standards and industry best practices for safety, cybersecurity, and software quality.Advanced Programming & Controls Development Program, configure, and validate Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC applications using Studio 5000 Logix Designer.Develop and maintain HMI screens/tags and SCADA interfaces (as applicable) to support operator workflow and monitoring.Configure communications and data exchange using EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP.Support and integrate motor control components including VFDs and servo/motion control functionality (as applicable).Build maintainable, reusable logic (tag structures, naming conventions, AOIs/UDFs as applicable) and support in-house standards.Perform software verification and troubleshooting in collaboration with integration/testing to ensure system readiness for FAT/SAT and commissioning.Systems Integration, Testing & Commissioning Perform end-to-end system integration and verification (hardware/software/network).Support FAT and SAT, including resolution of issues found during testing.Assist with startup, commissioning, and customer training to ensure correct system operation.Troubleshooting & Technical Support Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and instrumentation issues remotely and onsite.Identify root causes and drive solutions to restore operation and improve system performance.Documentation & Deliverables Maintain accurate project documentation including:Functional specifications and control narrativesI/O lists, network architecture, and electrical drawings (as applicable)Software backups and revision historyEnsure deliverables are clear, complete, and aligned with commissioning/support needsCustomer Communication & Coordination ·       Communicate project status, technical findings, risks, and next steps clearly to customers and internal teams.Coordinate effectively with customers, electricians, panel builders, and project stakeholders to keep FAT/SAT, startup, and commissioning on track.Maintain professional, responsive communication throughout troubleshooting, commissioning, and closeout activities.Gather and confirm customer requirements and constraints, ensuring system scope and acceptance criteria are understood before execution.QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.Minimum 2 years of experience designing and implementing industrial automation systems.Experience programming Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLCs using Studio 5000 Logix Designer.Experience developing HMI applications.Knowledge of industrial communication networks including EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP.Understanding of electrical control systems, motor control, instrumentation, and industrial safety practices.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control drawings.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision.Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to customer sites.PreferredExperience with Ignition SCADA.Experience with Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) PLC platforms.Experience with AC drives, servo systems, and motion controlFamiliarity with industrial Ethernet switches, managed networks, and network troubleshooting.Knowledge of SQL databases, OPC UA, and industrial data collection.·       Industry experience: food & beverage, water & wastewater, chemical, aerospace, or manufacturing.Experience with AutoCAD
