We hire and promote employees who are interested in helping find solutions and make decisions. We are currently searching for a Sales/Account Representative in our Memphis, TN market.
This Sales Account Representative focuses on small to large customers within the designated geographic territory to procure raw recyclable materials. Our sales account representatives are encouraged to build their territory as if they were building their own business. The position is primarily responsible for the development of new business as well as the maintenance and expansion of current accounts. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships quickly, a track record of success, and 3+ years of sales experience. A clean driving record is also a must. PEOPLE WITH RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY.
RESPONSIBILITY
Establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets.
Develop a thorough knowledge of the industry and the assigned market territory.
Coordinate use of other company resources to provide value added services to customers.
Develop strong client relationships that provide significant input to pricing and service strategies.
Support supervisor in developing new market opportunities in the designated territory or market.
Solicit new business opportunities within territory. Prepare proposals and follows up accordingly with accounts.
Provide feedback on accounts, competition and recycling industry market.

The duties of the candidate:
o Maintaining current accounts through personal contact and ensuring quality service to each customer
o Creating business relations with prospects and adding them to the customer base
o Working to get current customers under service agreements
o Leading, motivating and energizing customers to orchestrate growth of assigned territory
o Managing existing accounts and converting new accounts through strategic value selling
o Solving problems with an emphasis on innovative and creative solutions that result in higher profitability
o Cold calling and prospecting for new business
o Making face-to-face contacts per week with existing and prospective accounts
o Establishing and maintaining a positive community relationship and making public presentations as needed
o Working with President and Manager of Sales Operations on projects as needed
o Working with President and Manager of Sales Operations to maintain a total top to bottom sales approach
o Planning, organizing and managing time to ensure the work is accomplished according to expectations
o Serving as contact person for customers and city inspectors within assigned territories
o Implementing sales strategies for an efficient and productive go-to-market sales approach
o Collaborating with managers and staff to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals and objectives
o Reaching a general understanding of driver routing system and established routes while preserving efficiency
o Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
· AA degree considered; BS degree preferred
· A minimum of 2 years sales experience, customer service, or restaurant management experience
· Proven track record of success in a demanding sales environment required; restaurant experience a plus
· Entrepreneurial spirit and mindset required; demonstrated ability to execute and drive results
· Computer skills a must – knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Office
· Working knowledge of Quickbase/Intuit or similar type of contact management software preferred
o Understanding of them importance of documentation updating for data analytics
· Strong communication skills; verbal and written
· Organizational abilities
· Ability to work independently and within a team
· Self-starter with ability to maintain motivation and direction without daily supervision
· Ability to work proactively to balance work in the field and dedicated administrative duties in the office.
· Highly results driven for the entire lifecycle of a customer. From the identification of a lead to the retention and expansion of a long-term client.
· Expansion of current client list through referral generation activities

Compensation:
- Compensation is a base salary of $60,000 + bonus
