Production Supervisor - Day Shift position
About the CompanyGrowing manufacturing company has an excellent opportunity available for a Production Supervisor. This is a day shift position with hours of 7am to 4pm. This position is responsible for supporting operations within a manufacturing facility.About the RoleThe Production Supervisor will oversee the production team and ensure that operations run smoothly and efficiently.ResponsibilitiesPerform timely quarterly / annual reviews for all team membersMust lead, train, coach and motivate team members to align with production needs and goalsPlan production jobs within the department looking at orders and delivery times to ensure on time deliveryParticipate in daily leadership team meetings being prepared to discuss the areaEnsuring that the paperwork on production is completed in a timely and neat mannerMonitor, measure and report on production performance and accurate production reportsEnsure quality assurance and inspection of all materials and finished goodsTroubleshoot equipment for repair and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operationsHelp to establish and communicate expectations on production, quality and scrap for operatorsEnsure a safe working environment is maintained and that safe practices are followed at all timesInvestigate any quality issues found in the area and report it to qualityParticipate in any disciplinary action or employee relation issues as requiredComplete inventory process as requiredTrain new employees in the proper procedures within the departmentImplement and maintain company policies and standardsMust work with other team leaders within and across departments to provide continuous growth and improvement QualificationsHigh School Diploma or EquivalentMust have 3-5 years related work experience or equivalent of minimum one year supervisor experience with education. Experience in plastic injection molding, extrusion, rubber molding, TPE, thermoplastics, or Polyolefins would be a plus. Required SkillsLead by example, modeling professionalism and accountabilityExtreme ownership, with ability to take full responsibility of team performance and resultsHas proficiency in understanding and interpreting fabrication drawingsStrong analytical, problem solving and critical skillsMust have strong organization skills to set a plan for upcoming jobsAbility to be flexible and work in a fast paced environmentAbility to move/lift 50 lbsAbility to read and measure hoses with caliper and tape measureEfficient and effective manner to meetStrong attention to detail for quality assuranceAble to work on feet for extended periods of timeStrong Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications- Outlook, Excel, WordMust follow all safety procedures / and become forklift certified within the first 90 days Preferred SkillsExperience in plastic injection molding, extrusion, rubber molding, TPE, thermoplastics, or Polyolefins would be a plus.
