Operating under the supervision of a Clinical Supervisor and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Behavior Technicians utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions to teach essential skills and reduce challenging behaviors. This role necessitates meticulous data collection and session notes to monitor and assess client progress.\nLocation\nWe are currently recruiting for positions at our Clovis and Fresno, CA locations.\nOverall Objective\nCreate an enriched learning environment by providing evidence-based interventions within the scope of Applied Behavior Analysis while strictly adhering to the Board Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Code of Ethics.\nKey Responsibilities\nAttend to the basic needs of clients (e.g., food, water, toileting) during therapy sessions.\nMaintain a daily needs form throughout each session, including offering snacks and water, facilitating changes, and providing access to the bathroom, while meticulously tracking opportunities and prompts.\nDeliver daily session summaries to parents/guardians using the daily needs form.\nReview the daily schedule for updates and client changes.\nLog into scheduled sessions in our practice management software and review the Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) and client updates.\nPrepare the client's workspace with the required stimuli.\nExecute client intervention plan goals by comprehensively understanding each target and diligently following delivery instructions.\nActively engage with clients by delivering frequent Naturalistic Environment Training (NET) opportunities in a playful and interactive manner.\nMaintain close proximity (3-5 feet) to the client to ensure continuous engagement and prioritize client safety.\nSeek support, clarification, and modeling from supervisors and fellow Behavior Technicians whenever needed.\nCollect data on client responses to prompts for all treatment plan items.\nDocument behavioral data as required.\nSummarize the session as it unfolds and complete final session notes to meet billing standards.\nCommunicate client progress to clinical team members during team meetings or daily data collection and daily notes.\nEnsure timely transition of the client to the next BT session or parent/guardian.\nAccurate and timely data collection, session notes, and report writing are vital aspects of the role, with strict adherence to all privacy and confidentiality laws, including HIPAA regulations and client confidentiality.\nCommitment to providing culturally sensitive and competent care.\nCompliance with all ethical guidelines and standards set forth by the BACB.\nAccommodate specific requirements, such as autism-specific interventions, depending on the client's unique needs or preferences.\nClean, organize, and maintain the center and workspaces\nJob Requirements\nHigh School Diploma or Equivalent.\nSuccessful completion of a TB Test and Live Scan DOJ Background check.\nAvailability for at least 15 hours per week and saturdays.\nCompletion of Registered Behavior Therapist(RBT) Certification (Must enroll in a course and complete it within the first 90 days; we cover the cost of enrolling in the 40-hour online course and reimburse for the exam).\nTrained in crisis management procedures (Safety Care Certification; including de-escalation techniques and safety protocols when handling challenging behaviors.
