This position requires operating the machine in safe manner while following established safety policies, properly tracking the raw materials used and the finished good produced and keeping the machine at 5S standards. An Operator must be able to work overtime when required and perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor or team lead.\n\nESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nEfficiently operate the assigned napkin machine in a safe manner, meeting daily established production goals\nEfficiently perform machine make-readies\nAccurately report daily production of machine\nRead and interpret a manufacturing order to ensure finished product meets specifications\nEffectively troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments as needed\nWork overtime as necessary to cover other shift operators and meet overall production demand\nEnsure correct product (raw materials, sizes, ink colors, quantities, etc.) are being manufactured\nDocument and quality check output of machines to ensure consistency and quality\nWear appropriate PPE and conduct work with a safety-focused mindset, follow all company safety policies\nReport any unsafe acts or conditions to the supervisor or lead person\nMaintain 5S standards\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:\n\nKnowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment; paper converting and/or printing machinery preferred\nKnowledge of best practices and procedures for machine operation\nSkill in oral and written communication\nBasic math skills required\nSkill in working well with others / teamwork\nAbility to flexible, self-directed, and motivated to improve processes\nAbility to be patient and adaptable to unforeseen changes\nAbility to work overtime when needed\nAbility to come to work prepared, on-time, and with a positive attitude\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nInvolves working in a manufacturing plant/warehouse floor which requires PPE (safety shoes, ear and eye protection).\n\nThe ideal candidate will have a great work ethic, be willing to learn new things, and have dependable attendance.\n•\n\nShifts:\nD shift: (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday) (7:00PM-7:15AM)\nB shift: (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday) (7:00PM-7:15AM)\n3rd shift: (Monday - Friday) (11:45PM- 7:00AM)\n#Sparks625\n\nLearn more about Hoffmaster's multiple locations!\nLet’s connect!\nAt Hoffmaster, we believe every person deserves to feel successful.
