This role is responsible for building, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting ruggedized electronic systems used in critical defense and aerospace programs.The Senior Electronic Technician will perform hands-on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electronic systems in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong schematic reading ability, excellent soldering skills, and experience using standard electronic test equipment.Compensation$30 - $38 per hourOvertime opportunities availableResponsibilitiesBuild, assemble, and test ruggedized electronic systems including cameras, recorders, and display unitsRead and interpret electronic schematics, assembly drawings, and technical work instructionsPerform troubleshooting and repair of electronic systems down to the component levelUtilize test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, digital voltage meters, and soldering stationsPerform PCB-level rework and hand soldering under a microscopeSupport high-mix, low-volume production (typically 5-100 units per run)Accurately document work performed and maintain quality standardsRequirements5-10+ years of experience as an Electronic Technician in a manufacturing environmentAssociate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field requiredStrong experience reading and interpreting electronic schematics and assembly drawingsHands-on troubleshooting and repair experience at the component levelProficiency using electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, soldering tools)Experience in regulated environments (aerospace, defense, or medical)Strong hand soldering skills and PCB rework experienceMust be able to pass a soldering testPreferred QualificationsAerospace or defense electronics manufacturing experienceFamiliarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 environmentsIPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certificationsExperience with ruggedized or military-spec electronicsWork EnvironmentHigh-mix, low-volume manufacturing environmentApproximately 85% assembly/testing and 15% repair workCollaborative, team-oriented culture with cross-functional interactionBenefitsMedical coverage (PPO and HMO options)Company covers 75% of employee HMO premiumDental and vision coverageCompany-paid life and accidental death insurance401(k) with company match up to 4%Two weeks paid time off8 paid holidays
