Bookkeeper / Office Manager
We're hiring a Bookkeeper / Office Manager to support a growing residential construction company in the Boston area.This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable managing both bookkeeping and day-to-day office operations. We're looking for someone who can keep the office running smoothly while also maintaining accurate financial records, vendor documentation, invoices, and project-related paperwork.The right candidate will be comfortable working closely with ownership, project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients in a fast-paced construction environment.RequirementsManage day-to-day bookkeeping and office administrationHandle accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, and vendor paymentsTrack expenses, job costs, purchase orders, and project-related financial recordsReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and project expensesMaintain vendor records, insurance certificates, W-9s, lien waivers, contracts, and compliance documentsSupport ownership and project managers with scheduling, documentation, and communicationKeep project files, office records, and accounting systems accurate and up to dateAssist with payroll coordination, employee documents, and basic HR/admin support as neededCommunicate with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal team membersHelp keep the office organized, responsive, and running efficientlyIdeal Background:3+ years of bookkeeping, office management, administrative, or accounting support experienceConstruction industry experience strongly preferredExperience with AP/AR, invoices, vendor payments, job costing, and project documentationStrong QuickBooks and Excel experience preferredExperience with Procore, Buildertrend, or similar construction systems is a plusStrong organization, communication, follow-up, and attention to detailComfortable working in a small-business environment and taking ownership without constant directionBenefitsCompetitive base salary + benefitsWe're looking for someone who can bring structure, accuracy, and professionalism to the office while supporting the financial and administrative needs of a busy construction team.
