This is an opportunity for you to join our fine group of respected professionals.\n\nSUMMARY:\nThis Roadway Project Engineer is responsible for preparation of detailed design drawings and contract documents for transportation infrastructure projects involving urban highways, rural roadways, and city streets. This role includes providing preliminary engineering and final design for projects, which requires experience with roadway geometrics, profile design, three-dimensional modeling, grading design, traffic control, and signing and marking. Experience in roadway drainage design, including pavement drainage, storm drain systems, retention basins, and culvert design is a plus.\n\nACCOUNTABILITIES:\nIndependently perform detailed roadway design and roadway drainage design.\nCoordinate with various disciplines of roadway projects, including survey, drainage, utility, and traffic.\nPrepare construction plans, technical specifications, technical studies, and reports.\nPrepare quantity take-offs and/or calculations and construction cost estimates.\nDirect CAD designers and less experienced staff in the preparation and production of construction plans.\nProvide quality reviews of own work and work by designers in accordance with Company's quality control program and processes.\nAttend and participate in client meetings.\nAssist in developing marketing statement of qualification proposals.\nAssist in construction administration of projects, including reviewing and responding to contractor material submittals, RFI's, and change order requests.\n\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:\nQualifications:\nThe ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and have a strong commitment to the Values of Dibble. This person will have the ability to participate in complex and high-profile projects, work on multiple projects without sacrificing quality, make sound decisions for the benefit of the project and the Company, and be able to consistently meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.\nDemonstrate a strong knowledge in roadway design and roadway drainage design.\nDemonstrate strong technical knowledge of transportation engineering principles.\nDemonstrate competence in the use and application of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, Inroads, and/or Connect/OpenRoads. Including but not limited to: horizontal and vertical control/geometry, incorporation and interpretation of survey data, roadway modeling, retention basin modeling, staking diagrams, cross sections, and earthwork calculations.\nAbility to mentor and train CAD Designers and Engineers-in-Training.\nStrong technical writing skills, and ability to convey engineering decisions and concepts to non-technical and technically based audiences.\nAbility to work within a variety of team environments, including varying team sizes and personnel.\nPrioritize and meet multiple deadlines.\n\nEducation and Experience:\nMust have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, from an accredited college.\nMust be registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona OR be able to obtain an Arizona PE license within 6 months of employment.\nApproximately 4-8 years of engineering experience.\nExperience working in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, InRoads, Connect/OpenRoads preferred.\nExperience working in ArcGIS preferred.\nExperience with Public Works projects preferred.\n\nLOCATION: This opportunity is in our Phoenix office location.\nCOMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience.
