These duties include preventative maintenance and repair in a wide array of electro-mechanical, robotic equipment. This role is also responsible for conferring with department management to determine the progress of work and completion dates and compiling reports on the progress of work, labor hours, costs, and production problems. This position requires maintaining, troubleshooting, and/or testing robotic equipment or related automated production systems as well. Most tasks involve preventative, corrective maintenance work, as well as managing the operation of all equipment and robotic processes for the facility.\nPrinciple Responsibilities\nDistributes production schedules and work orders to maintenance staff.\nTroubleshoots systems, using programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensors, etc.\nDesigns, configures, and works on the application of robotic systems and modifies computer-controlled robot movements.\nDisassembles and reassembles robots or peripheral equipment to make repairs.\nPerforms preventative or corrective maintenance on electromechanical equipment and robotic systems.\nMaintains service records of robotic equipment or automated production systems.\nReviews documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing spreadsheets to determine personnel or materials requirements and priorities.\nManages department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.\nExamines documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.\nMonitors inventories of production supplies such as sensors and cables.\nFabricates housings, jigs, fittings, or fixtures, using metalworking machines, testing performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment.\nCoordinates operational activities by planning production commitments or timetables.\nCompiles and prepares documentation related to production sequences, personnel schedules, and maintenance, or repair orders.\nPerforms all work safely in a fast-paced work environment.\nQualifications\n10+ years of supervising experience preferred.\nAssociate degree in Engineering or related field preferred.\n5-10 years of experience in manufacturing, specialized in auto body parts, preferred.\nAbility to troubleshoot robotics using Yaskawa and Kuka.\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing, six sigma, and value engineering preferred.\nExperience in PLC platforms such as Melsec, Mitsubishi.\nAbility to program PLC robotics.\nAbility to train maintenance personnel.\nAbility to juggle multiple tasks in the fast-paced environment and prioritize workload.\nTeam player with high energy and a can-do attitude.\nAbility to make sound decisions under pressure.\nStrong math skills, with the capability of understanding and conducting basic arithmetic and statistical operations.\nAbility to quickly recognize errors and inconsistencies in numerical data (good analysis skills).\nFamiliar with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nExcellent supervisory and communication skills.\nMust be flexible to working overtime, weekends, and occasionally holidays.\nPhysical Requirements\nWork is considered low physical work in an office and production setting, requiring lifting up to 25 pounds of force.
