This is a role for someone who understands how WordPress works at the engineering level and who can take full ownership of performance, infrastructure, and reliability.\r\nBackend Development and ArchitectureBuild, maintain, and improve custom WordPress themes, plugins, and backend systems\r\nDevelop secure and scalable solutions using JavaScript, MySQL, and WordPress APIs\r\nWrite clean and maintainable code for long term stability\r\nHosting and Server OperationsOwn and manage all hosting environments across staging and production\r\nConfigure DNS, SSL, CDN performance, caching, and server side optimizations\r\nLead complex WordPress migrations with zero downtime expectations\r\nMonitor uptime, server load, and real time performance metrics\r\nTroubleshoot issues across servers, code, and database layers\r\nEnsure a secure, stable, and well architected hosting infrastructure for FirmPilot\r\nAPI IntegrationsBuild and maintain integrations with CRM systems, analytics platforms, automation tools, authentication systems, and internal FirmPilot services\r\nManage API calls, data workflows, and webhooks\r\nEnsure secure and reliable communication between WordPress and FirmPilot systems\r\nPerformance OptimizationImprove Core Web Vitals, load speeds, caching, and overall technical performance\r\nStreamline deployment workflows and development pipelines\r\nRecommend improvements that support scale and reliability\r\nOccasional Front End SupportFront end fixes may come up rarely, but the primary responsibility is deep backend development and Hosting operations\r\nWhat You BringFive or more years of advanced WordPress development experience\r\nStrong experience in hosting, server management, DNS, SSL, caching, CDN, and backend optimization\r\nProven experience with WordPress migrations and multi environment setups\r\nDeep knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MySQL, and REST API work\r\nExperience building custom plugins, backend systems, and advanced integrations\r\nStrong understanding of security, hardening, and high performance WordPress practices\r\nAbility to troubleshoot complex issues independently and deliver results\r\nWhy FirmPilotA culture built for builders and doers\r\nA high output team where initiative and personal accountability matter\r\nAn environment with no red tape where you own your work and you ship your work\r\nYour work directly supports FirmPilot growth and customer success\r\nCompensation: Pursuant to applicable pay transparency laws, the base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $130,000.
