Lean Manager
SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking aLean Managerto partner with Project Leaders in developing plans, engaging team members in executing and sustaining the lean approach, and coaching field and project leaders to confidently apply 5S, Flow Construction, and kaizen-based continuous improvement methods to enhance safety, ease work, and improve project outcomes.

Create strong partnerships with project leadership and craft workforce for lean approachesBuild relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsLead by example, coaching team members in continuous improvementPromote continuous improvement principles onsiteIdentify opportunities, plan, and execute continuous improvement for projectsSupport leaders in preparing, conducting, and following up on improvement eventsMeasure performance and ensure visibility into improvementsChampion 5S practices with project team, field leaders, and trade partnersAdvocate for Flow Construction and support project teams in developing flow schedulesQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldOR
Equivalent combination of education and technical/field experience demonstrated over multiple years of related work experienceMinimum of six years’ construction or manufacturing experienceMinimum of four years’ experience in continuous improvement in manufacturing or constructionCurrent driver’s licenseExpert understanding of continuous improvement principlesExcellent reliability and follow-throughEffective trainer and facilitatorStrong ability to coach and mentor lean professionalsAbility to influence through relationship buildingProactive self-starter with a growth mindsetStrong sense of curiosity and optimismEffective communication and active listening skillsKnowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action plansAbility to travel up to 75%A few benefits offered include:

Lean Manager I
The base pay range for this role is $100,100 MIN - $150,200 MAX.(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Lean Manager II
The base pay range for this role is $107,200 MIN - $160,800 MAX.(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
