If you're looking for complex technical challenges and the opportunity to build foundational systems supporting complex machines from the ground up, we want to hear from you.\r\nIn This Role, You'll:\r\nBuild and maintain full stack features across our web application and data processing backend for complex telemetry data\r\nCreate intuitive user interfaces for data exploration while optimizing for large real-time datasets\r\nImplement efficient APIs and data access patterns for real-time data streaming\r\nCollaborate with data platform and frontend teams on service design and implementation\r\nWrite clean, maintainable code and participate in technical design discussions\r\nThe Skillset You'll Bring:\r\n3+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development\r\nExperience building production applications with technologies like React, NextJS, TypeScript, Go, Rust, and Python\r\nFamiliarity with relational and non-relational databases, e.g. PostgreSQL, Druid, Pinot, Timescale, or similar\r\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail\r\nBonus Points\r\nExperience with technical visualization tools (WebGL, D3.js, Apache ECharts) and time-series data\r\nKnowledge of WebAssembly and browser-based computation\r\nBackground in scientific computing or technical data visualization\r\nExperience building tools for technical users (dashboards, data-editing environments)\r\nBuilt and launched side projects with consistent usage traffic\r\nEngineering At Sift\r\nYou'll have the opportunity to help evolve and scale our platform because we're still in the early stages of building the product. Relevant technologies include:\r\nWeb frontend & backend: ECharts, Go, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Protobuf, Radix, React, Redux, and TypeScript\r\nData: Arrow, DataFusion, Flink, Parquet, and Rust\r\nInfrastructure: Argo CD, AWS, Docker, GitHub Actions, Grafana, Kubernetes, Kustomize, Linux, Prometheus, and Terragrunt\r\nLocation\r\nSift's headquarters is in El Segundo, CA . We collaborate in person twice a week—on Mondays and Thursdays —and come together for a full week every two months. While we prefer team members to be local, we're open to relocating candidates to LA or considering remote work from the San Francisco area for the right candidate.\r\nSalary range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year.
