Follows transition and system implementation plans.\nRecommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.\nAssists users in transition and implementation of new systems/programs.\nA senior level position requires a seasoned professional with a full understanding of industry practices with a high level of work experience and proficiency in field.\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\nProvides high level technical support, database problem management, change management and maintenance on systems.\nPerforms problem analysis for complex configurations of critical databases.\nPerforms complex installation, configuration, customization, and tuning.\nProvides input on answers to technical questions and problems while adhering to standards and procedures.\nAssists in strategic planning and database architecture and design. Makes recommendations on functional and business requirements.\nParticipates in project activities and provides technical assistance for assigned projects.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nHave the ability to adapt to our culture and learn the way we manage and support our systems.\nKnowledge: Comprehensive knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area. General knowledge of department/business lines, Client, and / or System operations, policies, procedures, and technologies.\nCommunications: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience.\nRisk Management: [The individual] is responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making and contributing to his or her function`s risk management.\nDecision Making: Works under direction and guidance in planning details of procedures and methods to attain definite objectives. Makes decisions within established or widely accepted standards. Achieves assigned/planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, training, business principles, and practical experience.\n\nTechnical Qualifications:\nIn depth knowledge and work experience installing and configuring Oracle database technology.\nIn depth knowledge and work experience performing database monitoring and tuning.\nExpert knowledge and work experience with:\nDatabase upgrade and patching.\nBackup and recovery mechanisms.\nDatabase security.\nDatabase design, database packages and structures.\nWork experience required: Supporting Patch Set Update/Release.\nExperience/knowledge in *Nix and other platforms and operating systems.\nBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with:\nExperienced: 3 to 5+ years of experience.\nSenior: 6 to 9+ years of experience.\nSpecial Considerations:\nMust be a US Citizen.\nSelected candidate subject to special background investigation procedures.\nHours of Work: Required extended work and weekend hours including on-call 24/7 rotation.\nCandidates should review the client Code of Conduct to ensure compliance with issues related to previous employment and prohibited financial interest.\nListed salary ranges may vary based on experience, qualifications, and local market.
