We monitor global change, deliver broadband communications, and advance space operations with capabilities in Space Infrastructure and Earth Intelligence.\nPrincipal Responsibilities:\nOptimize database performance by identifying and resolving inefficiencies.\nEnsure database configurations are properly managed through configuration management (CM) practices.\nImplement and manage performance testing tools, such as JMeter or alternatives, to prevent performance regressions.\nCollaborate with software and system engineers to ensure optimal integration and performance of the database systems.\nSupport proactive database performance monitoring and troubleshooting.\nMinimum Requirements:\nMust have a current/active TS/SCI.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline (4 years of additional experience may be substituted for a degree).\n5+ years of experience in database engineering, database performance optimization, and configuration management.\nAbility to work in both classified and unclassified environments on location 5 days a week in Herndon, VA or Melbourne, FL.\nStrong understanding of database technologies and systems.\nExperience with performance testing tools like JMeter or similar alternatives.\nExperience with version control systems for managing database configurations.\nExperience with SQL and NoSQL databases, Postgres, Mongo databases, Liquibase and SQL queries.\nExperience with Java, SpringBoot, and Hibernate.\nDesired Skills:\nExperience with automated testing.\nProficient in identifying database inefficiencies and implementing corrective actions.\nUnderstanding of regression testing and performance monitoring tools.\nAbility to work in both classified and unclassified environments.\n#LI-CJ1\n#cjpost\nIn support of pay transparency at Maxar, we disclose salary ranges on all of our U.S. job postings. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience.
