This position will be responsible for engine testing and scheduling for an assigned area. This role will assess gas-fired engines for performance and conduct regular checks of them, troubleshoot engine performance, schedule tests, review reports, and collaborate with maintenance. This position is located in Midland, TX, Monahans, TX, Hobbs, NM, or Carlsbad, NM and will report to the Stack Testing Supervisor.\nJob Duties & Key Responsibilities Perform engine and emission testing on all assigned units on a defined schedule.\nWork closely with maintenance and operations staff on scheduling and testing of engines.\nWork with maintenance on diagnostic and troubleshooting of engines.\nSchedule 3rd party testing with vendors.\nHelp enforce quality control on 3rd party vendors.\nMaintain required documentation and files.\nReview reports for accuracy and completeness.\nComplete work in a timely manner and perform other tasks as assigned.\nMinimum Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent\nInterpersonal communication skills are required to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors; able to work in a self-directed work team.\n2 years of field operations, mechanical, or engine testing experience.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, and others).\nAbility to work with minimal supervision and manage time when given multiple tasks.\nAbility to climb stairs, ladders, and operate a man-lift.\nAbility to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds.\nAbility to work in changing climate conditions and a plant environment.\nAble to work in close quarters (kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, standing).\nFollow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (e.g., eye protection, footwear, Nomex).\nRegular and reliable attendance.\nPreferred Qualifications Experience in natural gas gathering and processing.\nExperience with Caterpillar and Waukesha engines.\nExperience working in Maximo.\nStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.\nExperience reviewing air permits.\nEqual Employment Opportunity Targa Resources provides equal employment opportunities based on merit, experience, and other work-related criteria and without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sex, age, pregnancy, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
