The rest of the company's AI ambitions run through you.\n\nWhat You'll Do:\n\nBuild and own the canonical data models in Snowflake that serve as Alchemy's company-wide source of truth — clean, queryable, and AI-ready\n\nStructure datasets so vendor AI tools perform optimally out of the box, with consistent schemas, rich semantics, and well-indexed access patterns\n\nExplore and prototype MCP integrations that let internal teams query data conversationally\n\nEliminate shadow tables and one-off datasets by proactively serving team data needs at the platform level, freeing data science to move faster\n\nOwn the transformation layer (dbt), with rigorous testing and validation so every downstream consumer — human or AI — can trust what they're working with\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\n6+ years in data engineering with strong SQL and deep Snowflake expertise\n\nExperience designing efficient, scalable analytical data models\n\nProficiency with dbt or comparable transformation frameworks\n\nStrong data quality instincts and a track record of building infrastructure that unblocks teams\n\nGood judgment — you scope well, prioritize ruthlessly, and communicate tradeoffs\n\nExperience in startups, a plus\n\nMedical, Dental, & Vision\n\nGym Reimbursement\n\nHome Office Build-out Budget\n\nIn-Office Group Meals\n\nCommuter Benefits\n\nFlexible Time Off\n\nWellbeing & Mental Health Perks\n\nLearning & Development Stipend\n\nCompany Sponsored Conferences & Events\n\nHSA and FSA Plans\n\nFertility Benefits\n\nMore on The Role\nAlchemy is committed to offering competitive compensation, including base salary as well as equity. Please note this range reflects base salary only, and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
