Annual cyber security training is also required.Summary:Independently manages projects; directs and analyzes environmental permitting and regulatory approval needs for existing and proposed facilities; manages staff, contractors and budget to minimize corporate environmental risk; and consults with management on planning, financial, legal, and risk assessments in many areas of corporate activities.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Manages projects and coordinates environmental planning, scoping, compliance, and permitting for all company operationsSchedules and manages environmental contractors and project budgetsTracks cost and advises management on project performanceInterfaces and negotiates directly with regulatory agencies on requirements, stipulations, and corporate needsMaintains a network of professional contactsInforms and advises management on project direction and economic or legal riskGuides and directs the work of other scientists and project team membersSelects, directs, and assesses work of environmental consultants and contractorsWorks on several detailed and complex projects and issues at once, coordinating, analyzing, tracking costs, and minimizing corporate environmental riskInterfaces with the public on sensitive environmental issues and educational programsManages investigations, related to air, water, or hazardous waste issuesParticipates in activities concerning PNM involvement in environmental lawsuitsActs as the primary Environmental Services interface with legal counselDirects and participates in due diligence assessments for multiple types of transactions associated with real property and operational assetsReviews and comments on environmental laws, regulations, and legal issues.
