Project Manager - Commercial Solar & Battery Storage (BESS)
We are seeking a Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects throughout the Monterey Bay Area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys owning projects from preconstruction through closeout while working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment focused on clean energy infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings strong construction project management experience, understands commercial project workflows, and can successfully coordinate vendors, subcontractors, clients, and field teams to keep projects moving forward on time and within budget. What You'll OwnManage commercial solar and battery storage projects from preconstruction through final closeoutOversee project schedules, procurement, subcontractor coordination, contracts, and construction activitiesTrack budgets, billing, forecasting, cost controls, and financial reportingCoordinate permitting, inspections, procurement, and buyout processesLead or support project meetings with clients, field teams, vendors, and stakeholdersManage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentationSupport preconstruction efforts including estimating coordination and proposal supportMaintain organized project reporting and documentation within internal systemsEnsure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule Requirements2+ years of project management experience within commercial constructionExperience in commercial solar, battery storage (BESS), electrical, MEP, or technical infrastructure projects strongly preferredUnderstanding of the full construction project lifecycle including permitting, inspections, scheduling, procurement, billing, and closeoutExperience managing project budgets, forecasting, and cost trackingWorking knowledge of MEP systems and building permit processesProficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and SmartsheetExperience with Jonas Premier is a plusStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsMust be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)Must be local to the Monterey Bay Area and able to work onsite BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) retirement planPTO package with eligibility for unlimited PTO after year one42 hours of paid continuing education annually$1,000 annual professional development stipendCell phone and laptop reimbursement Join a growing team helping deliver the next generation of clean energy infrastructure across California.
