This position works closely with the machining department to ensure products meet customer specifications and performance requirements before shipment.\r\nThe ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and capable of maintaining consistent quality and productivity in a manufacturing environment. This role requires basic mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production setting.This is a 2nd Shift position; however, all newly hired employees must successfully complete an initial training period on 1st Shift (MondayFriday, 6:30 AM3:00 PM). The training period is expected to last approximately 30 days but may be extended based on individual performance, skill development, and business needs. Upon successful completion of training, employees will transition to the regular 2nd Shift schedule and become eligible for the $2.00 per hour shift differential.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssemble machined components, subassemblies, and finished products according to work instructions, blueprints, and engineering specifications.\r\nPerform functional, pressure, and quality testing on products and assemblies as required.\r\nVerify dimensions, fit, and performance of assembled components using measuring devices and testing equipment.\r\nRead and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, work orders, and quality documentation.\r\nInspect parts and finished products to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met.\r\nIdentify and report quality issues, defects, or non-conforming materials.\r\nMaintain accurate production, testing, and inspection records.\r\nUse hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment safely and effectively.\r\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.\r\nFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.\r\nCommunicate effectively with supervisors, machinists, and team members regarding production or quality concerns.\r\nSupport other machine shop and production activities as needed.QualificationsPreferred Skills & ExperienceSix months to one year of manufacturing, assembly, testing, or machine shop experience preferred.\r\nMechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.\r\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and quality documentation.\r\nBasic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.\r\nExperience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other inspection equipment preferred.\r\nAbility to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.\r\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to identify quality concerns.\r\nReliable attendance and strong work ethic.\r\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\r\nStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively with coworkers and supervisors.Physical DemandsRegularly required to stand, walk, bend, and use hands for assembly and testing activities.\r\nFrequently required to perform repetitive hand and arm motions.\r\nMust be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.\r\nMust be able to work an entire shift in a manufacturing environment.\r\nSpecific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.\r\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.Work EnvironmentRegular exposure to moving mechanical parts and manufacturing equipment.\r\nOccasional exposure to oils, coolants, cleaning agents, and other manufacturing materials.\r\nModerate noise levels within the machine shop environment.\r\nSafety glasses, steel-toe footwear, hearing protection, and other required PPE must be worn in designated areas.\r\nCompetence, awareness, and training for probationary employees will be assessed through onboarding and evaluation processes, including a review period.
