A beautifully designed hospitality destination in Los Angeles Mid City has transformed an entire block into a garden inspired gathering place for dining, culture, and community. Classy, cool, and contemporary, the property has quickly become a neighborhood destination where guests stop in for morning coffee, meet friends during the day, or linger into the evening.
The development brings together several thoughtfully curated food, beverage, and retail experiences designed to create a vibrant and welcoming environment throughout the day.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an Executive Chef to support and help lead the culinary program for the property’s upscale bakery café and all day dining experience.
This role focuses on guiding the kitchen team, strengthening systems, and helping the operation continue to evolve as the concept grows. The menu spans breakfast, lunch, and daytime dining with light evening offerings in a lively neighborhood setting, working alongside a strong bakery and pastry program.
The right chef will bring a balance of refinement and approachability, creating food that feels polished yet welcoming while maintaining the rhythm and efficiency required for an all day café environment.
Leadership Focus
This position requires a chef who is not only skilled in the kitchen but deeply committed to building people and strengthening teams.
We are looking for someone who naturally steps in to solve problems, supports the team during busy service, and takes pride in mentoring cooks and developing future leaders. The ability to guide staff, elevate standards, and bring steady leadership to a growing kitchen environment will be essential.
The ideal candidate enjoys coaching younger cooks, building structure within the kitchen, and creating a culture where the team can thrive.
What We Are Looking For
Strong experience leading high volume kitchens with consistent execution
Confidence in menu development, food costing, ordering systems, and kitchen organization
A collaborative approach with ownership and front of house leadership
A calm and solutions oriented leadership style during service
Experience with café driven kitchens, bakery adjacent operations, or European inspired all day dining environments is highly valued
Experience working within dynamic hospitality environments is a plus
Compensation
$125,000 to $140,000 annually depending on experience.
