Bookkeeper

We are seeking an organized Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage our daily financial activities. This is an on-site position based in either our Portland, ME or Danvers, MA office. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small office environment, enjoys working independently, and is looking for a consistent schedule of 20 to 30 hours per week.Key ResponsibilitiesERP Maintenance: Process financial transactions and maintain the general ledger within our ERP system.Accounts Payable (AP): Review vendor invoices, code accounts, and manage timely payments.Accounts Receivable (AR): Create customer invoices, apply payments, and monitor aging reports.Reconciliations: Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure record accuracy.Journal Entries: Prepare and post necessary entries for accurate month-end closing.Small Office Support: Manage physical documentation, handle incoming financial mail, and assist with general office tasks to keep operations running smoothly.QualificationsPresence: Ability to work consistently on-site at the designated office location.Experience: 2+ years of professional bookkeeping experience, ideally in an industrial or distribution setting.Software Skills: Experience with NetSuite is preferred but not required.
