Maintenance Mechanic- Food manufacturing plant

Job Description 3rd shift position ******Start-up on Monday mornings: 1:00 am - 6:00 amMonday through Friday: 9:00 pm to 7:30 amPosition Description:Maintain production facility and equipment to insure safe and quality products. The maintenance mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and support equipment such as HV/AC, boilers, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration system, mixers, processing and packaging equipment. Broad skills required in mechanical and electrical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, AC drives, and PLCs.Primary Responsibilities: Ensures operation of plant machinery utilizing both electrical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot equipment and by completing preventive maintenance requirements; Controls downtime by ascertaining needed repairs and parts replacement, and completing repairs in timely fashion Fabricates repair parts by machining items to specification as necessary Provides mechanical maintenance information by informing production workers of routine techniques, answering questions and responding to requests Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed Other duties as assigned that align within your scopeCompany DescriptionSuperior Staffing is looking for employees who are seeking long-term positions with opportunity for growth.
