Senior Security Architect

ServicePoint is supporting a client seeking a Senior Security Architect for an 18-month, 100% onsite engagement in Santa Ana, CA. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Work Authorization: No sponsorship is available. All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Security, Compliance & Audit Readiness Enforce security controls aligned with CJIS, NIST, and internal department policies. Implement and maintain firewall rulesets, Network Access Control (NAC) solutions (e.g., Cisco ISE), and endpoint access policies. Support cybersecurity teams with incident detection, forensic analysis, and mitigation activities. Prepare documentation and evidence for security audits and compliance reviews. Implementation, Operations & Support Serve as the hands-on engineer for network deployments, upgrades, and incident response. Configure and manage Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, WLCs, and wireless endpoints. Design and manage VPNs, QoS, ACLs, and network monitoring/logging platforms (SolarWinds, NetFlow, SNMP). SME Leadership & Staff Development Act as the department’s subject matter expert (SME) on enterprise security across IT, public safety, and operational systems. Train, coach, and mentor junior and mid-level network technicians. Deliver structured knowledge-transfer sessions, hands-on training, and real-time guidance during support and implementation tasks. Develop SOPs, how-to guides, and step-by-step documentation for ongoing internal use. Support staff pursuing certifications such as CCNA/CCNP. Qualifications 10+ years of professional experience in relevant security and networking domains. Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship available. Strong experience with Cisco networking (switches, routers, firewalls, WLCs, VPNs). Expertise in security and compliance (CJIS, NIST, NAC, incident response, audit readiness). Proficiency in network monitoring and management (SolarWinds, NetFlow, SNMP, ACLs, QoS). Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities, including documentation and staff development. Nice-to-Have Skills Advanced experience with CJIS/NIST compliance, endpoint access management, and security audits. Deep knowledge of Cisco WLCs, VPNs, QoS, ACLs, and network monitoring tools. SME experience in enterprise security, public safety systems, or government environments. Experience creating SOPs, training programs, and guiding staff toward CCNA/CCNP certification. Strong communication skills with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate network/security risks.
