Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (0500 - 1730) Experience: Preferred in an acute care facility License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Required vaccinations as a condition of employment Description: Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborate with the team of the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment team. Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate the duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
