The ideal candidate is a problem solver who enjoys innovation, continuous improvement, and collaborating across departments to support production and customer requirements.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities\n\nLead and manage the Engineering Department, including engineers and engineering assistants.\nEnsure tooling, equipment, and engineering systems comply with FAA, EASA, and company regulatory requirements.\nDesign, develop, and implement new aerospace repair capabilities.\nAnalyze OEM technical manuals and develop equivalent tooling and test equipment in accordance with FAA equivalency requirements.\nDesign, build, and troubleshoot electronic test equipment, circuit boards, test panels, and specialized tooling.\nPlan and oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of engineering equipment and facilities.\nDevelop engineering documentation, operation manuals, reliability reports, and technical procedures.\nComplete FAA and EASA capability self-evaluations.\nMaintain engineering files, tooling records, and technical documentation.\nManage engineering budgets, departmental planning, and project timelines.\nRecruit, train, mentor, and evaluate engineering personnel.\nDevelop technical training programs for production and engineering teams.\nCollaborate with Purchasing to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.\nProvide hands-on technical support to production and maintenance teams.\nResearch emerging aerospace technologies and implement new repair capabilities.\nQualifications\n\nBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.\nMinimum of two years of engineering management experience.\nMinimum of four years of FAA Repair Station engineering experience.\nStrong understanding of FAA and EASA regulations.\nExperience analyzing OEM technical manuals and designing equivalent tooling and test equipment.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex electronic systems to the component level.\nExperience with CAD/CAM software and engineering design tools.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.\nAbility to manage multiple engineering projects while meeting deadlines.\nExperience developing technical documentation and training materials.\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nWe're looking for a hands-on engineering leader who thrives in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
