Join Chicago Tube & Iron (CTI) as a Material Handler and become part of a team that plays a vital role in delivering quality steel products to customers across the country.\nWhether you have warehouse experience or are looking to grow your skills in manufacturing, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs a Material Handler, you'll help ensure customer orders are processed accurately and shipped safely by:\nOperating saws and other equipment to cut, process, package, and prepare material for shipment\nSafely operating forklifts, Raymond side loaders, and overhead cranes to move steel throughout the warehouse\nLoading and unloading trucks using material handling equipment\nPulling, staging, and assembling customer orders\nReceiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials\nMaintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment\nWorking closely with your team to meet daily production and shipping goals\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're looking for dependable, safety-minded individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nManufacturing, warehouse, or fabrication experience\nMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn\nExperience using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring tools\nExperience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, side loaders, saws, or packaging equipment (preferred but not required—we'll train the right candidate)\nBasic math and computer skills\nAbility to read blueprints or shop drawings is a plus\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout an 8-hour shift\nAbility to regularly lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds\nAbility to work safely around heavy equipment and steel products\nWhy Join CTI?\nAt CTI, we invest in our people.
