Crew Support Instructor
Primary Job DutiesCrew Support Instructor, Level IEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Promote a positive and productive work environment in alignment with SkyWest Airlines Guiding Principles.Create and edit any necessary training materials and presentations.Ensure all New Hire and Utilization class preparation tasks are completed prior to the start of each New Hire and Utilization class.Maintain all New Hire and Utilization classroom/test/quiz/pass-off records.Conduct Initial New Hire Classroom Training.Conduct on-desk training for Initial New Hire schedulers.Conducts Utilization Pod Training Classes.Plans, prepares for and conducts Personalized Training.Plans, prepares for and conducts annual Crew Support Recurrent Training.Cover Phone/Utilization Supervisor, or Crew Scheduler position as needed to facilitate pass-off and to help cover the operation. Mentor and train Crew Schedulers in all Pods.Assist department management and Lead Supervisors with other tasks and duties as requested.Crew Support Instructor, Level IIEssential Duties and Responsibilities listed above for Level I Instructor, and the following:Schedule any necessary desk training related to advancement from Utilization Pod to Ops Pod.Schedule Utilization/Ops pass-off events and ensure pass-offs are completed or rescheduled as needed.Plan, prepare for and conduct Ops Pod classroom training.Prepare practical examples on the test server for Ops pass-off events.Plan and prepare legalities trainings.Provide direction to Pod Supervisors and Desk Trainers to ensure effective training to maintain Crew Scheduler proficiency.Mentor and train Supervisors in all Pods.Fill in for Ops Supervisors and Lead Supervisors as needed to facilitate pass-off and to help cover the operation.Availability for MOD coverageDevelop, schedule and conduct employee Proficiency Checks (PCs).Minimum RequirementsCrew Support Instructor, Level IQualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):Ability to demonstrate professionalism in communication, conduct, and workplace interactions.Proficient in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in both FAR 117 and FAR 121 as they pertain to crewmember scheduling.Knowledge of the PPM, FAPM, CSOM, and all other Crew Support processes and procedures.Working knowledge of all software applications in use by Crew Support.High level of organizational skills.Friendly and outgoing personality.Self-motivated, team player.Must be able to work with others as a team, as well as alone with minimal supervision.Ability to respond quickly to change.Schedule must be flexible, and available to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.1 Year Crew Support ExperienceCrew Support Supervisor / Crew Support Desk Trainer ExperiencePhone and Utilization Supervisor qualified or willing to become qualified upon hire.Crew Support Instructor, Level IIQualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) listed above as Level I Instructor, and the following:Ops Supervisor qualifiedLegalities qualified, or ability to become qualified upon hireLead Ops Supervisor qualified, or ability to become qualified upon hireTwo years Crew Support Instructor, or Ops Supervisor experienceStrong knowledge of FAR117 and its application in the Crew Support processesPhysical and Other Requirements* Schedule: 4/10's* Schedule must be flexible and available to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.* This is not a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position.
