Our mission is simple: enable secure, trusted access in an increasingly connected world.\n\nWhat will my responsibilities include as System Engineer at CertiPath?\n\nYou’ll work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment solving complex technical problems that span software and systems.\nIntegrating the solution with Microsoft Active Directory, Certificate Authorities, Exchange, SQL Server, and Physical Access Control Systems (PACS)\nSupporting client acceptance testing and performing implementation assurance\nLeading or participating in client demonstrations, requirements gathering, prototyping sessions, and fit-gap analysis\nDocumenting user needs, workflows, and recommended implementation approaches\nTroubleshooting deployed solutions using logs, database records, Windows events, and networking tools\nProviding best-practice guidance on leveraging out-of-the-box functionality to meet federal high-assurance security requirements\nRelaying customer feedback to the software development team\nEngaging with clients primarily in the Washington, D.C. area, with heavier on-site presence early for installs and deployments that later transitions to remote support via MS Teams; travel outside the D.C. area up to 10% as the company expands\n\nLocation\n\nReston, VA (HQ) – Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week\n\nWhat qualifications do you look for?\n\nU.S. citizenship and an active Public Trust\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)\n6 years of total experience, including at least 4 years of engineering or operations experience managing and supporting applications in a Windows environment\nExperience performing on-site and virtual engagements with external customers\nExperience with PKI and federal smart card technology (smart card enablement, Windows smart card logon)\nWindows administration (IIS, Windows Server) and Microsoft Active Directory integration\nExperience supporting network, operating systems, database, applications, or data layers across multiple platforms and technologies\nExperience installing and configuring Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems, servers, and services (physically and cloud)\nFamiliarity with SQL database usage\nA demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and solve challenging problems\n\nWe’re extra impressed by folks who have:\n\nAn active government clearance\n3+ years of information security experience\nExperience deploying or supporting applications on Kubernetes\nHands-on experience with installing or operating PACS in a federal environment\nFundamental understanding of OAuth2 and modern authentication/authorization flows\nPACS certification (Lenel OnGuard, Software House CCURE 9000, etc.)\nExperience using Unified Modeling Language to capture business processes\nIT Security certification (Security+, CISSP, CSEIP, CSCIP/G)\n\nWhat kind of benefits does CertiPath offer?\n\nAt CertiPath, we value trust, flexibility, and investing in our people.
