Tasks may include concept, design, component/material selection, creation of fabrication/assembly drawings, analysis, BOMS, routings, cost estimates, testing, and documentation.\r\nAssist production planning and purchasing on make/buy decisions.\r\nTake part in on-site and off-site training as assigned related to the generation of programs used to produce parts on our automated equipment.\r\nGenerate machine programs for the production of parts. May include 2D and 3D laser cutting, punching, forming and robotic welding.\r\nProvide technical support to the production group. Activities include production order review/processing, answering questions, developing production and QA procedures, first article inspections, assisting in troubleshooting problems with components or processing equipment, and the design of production aids such as fixtures and racking.\r\nProvided technical support to Customer Care when required. Activities include assistance with troubleshooting site issues and support for requested field modifications.\r\nProvide technical support to Sales when required. Activities include answering questions, assisting with product application, evaluating and implementing special requests, cost estimating, machine layouts, and obtaining seismic analysis when required.\r\nTakes part in customer project work. Activities may include system layouts, creation of BOMs and shipping lists, material requisition, custom component design, assistance in production release, installation drawings and documentation, assembly of customer manuals, creation of spare parts listings, and installation and commissioning technical support.\r\nContacts customers and dealers through phone communication or in person to clarify any concerns or questions about their project\r\nMay be asked to go to a customer site for project kick-off meetings, site measurements and evaluation, system audits, issue resolution, and to provide on-site training assistance. This may include hands-on work.\r\nWorks collaboratively and respectfully with peers\r\nAssures accurate, pertinent, timely information and design assistance as necessary\r\nProvides feedback to relevant departments to enhance Modula’s future success\r\nAdheres to all established department and company standard operating procedures\r\nPerforms other duties as assigned\r\nIII. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or eight (5) to ten (10) years related job experience\r\nProficient user in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, 2D AutoCAD and 3D modeling.
