This role requires a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.\nDuties\nConduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.\nAdminister medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.\nMonitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and responses to treatment.\nProvide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment plans.\nCollaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients in various settings such as acute care, long-term care, and home health.\nUtilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation and patient tracking.\nPerform specialized nursing procedures including IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and wound care.\nParticipate in triage processes in emergency or critical care settings.\nUphold infection control standards and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.\nRequirements\nCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.\nExperience in critical care, emergency medicine, or acute care preferred.\nFamiliarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical documentation practices.\nProficiency in using EMR/EHR systems; experience with Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is a plus.\nStrong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology relevant to nursing practice.\nAbility to work effectively with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.\nExperience in specialized areas such as hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health, or trauma medicine is advantageous.\nExcellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.\nBasic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
