This position provides day-to-day guidance to Skills Instructors, assists with participant programming and documentation, supports person-centered planning, and collaborates closely with the Program Manager to ensure exceptional services are delivered.\n\nThe ideal candidate is a strong communicator, organized problem-solver, positive role model, and advocate for individuals with disabilities.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nLeadership & Staff Support\n\nModel Ability Road's mission, values, ethical standards, and professional expectations.\nUtilize knowledge of human behavior, learning styles, motivation techniques, behavior support strategies, and person-centered practices to mentor staff, address participant needs, and support successful skill development and community integration outcomes.\nProvide guidance, coaching, and support to Skills Instructors.\nAssist with staff training and ongoing development.\nMonitor staff adherence to documentation standards, schedules, and program procedures.\nReport performance concerns, training needs, and operational issues to the Program Manager.\nPromote a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and participant-centered services.\n\nParticipant Services\n\nSupport participants in community integration, vocational development, and skill-building activities.\nEnsure services are individualized, person-centered, and aligned with participant goals.\nAssist participants in developing self-advocacy, social, employment, and independent living skills.\nEvaluate participant needs, strengths, interests, goals, barriers, and support requirements.\nCollaborate with participants, families, caregivers, service coordinators, and other stakeholders.\n\nProgram Documentation & Compliance\n\nMonitor and coordinate completion of required participant documentation, including:\nInitial assessments\nGoals and objectives\nQuarterly reports\nSemi-annual reviews\nAnnual reviews\nExit reports\nProgress notes\nPerson-centered planning documentation\nEnsure documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with agency and regulatory requirements.\nAssist with quality assurance reviews and audits.\nMaintain confidential participant records in accordance with HIPAA, California privacy laws, and agency policies.\n\nProgram Development & Coordination\n\nDevelop and coordinate meaningful skill-building activities and community-based learning opportunities.\nCollaborate with leadership to create programming that supports participant growth and engagement.\nEnsure activity materials, resources, and schedules are prepared and implemented effectively.\nCoordinate with other program leaders to support participant needs and program objectives.\nAssist with transitions between services and programs as participants achieve goals or service needs change.\n\nVocational Development Support\n\nAssist participants in developing employment readiness skills, including:\nResume development\nInterview preparation\nWorkplace communication\nProfessional behavior\nCommunity employment exploration\nCollaborate with leadership regarding Paid Internship Program (PIP) opportunities and employment goals.\n\nCommunication & Administrative Responsibilities\n\nMaintain timely communication with supervisors, staff, participants, and stakeholders.\nTrack attendance, participation, and program-related data.\nComplete daily reporting and required electronic documentation.\nAttend required meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.\nParticipate in on-call responsibilities as assigned.\n\nOther Duties\n\nPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support organizational objectives.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nRequired\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nMinimum two years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, vocational services, community integration, or related human services programs.\nDemonstrated leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency with computers, electronic documentation systems, Microsoft Office, and email.\nValid California Driver License.\nMinimum three years of driving experience.\nReliable transportation available for work-related travel.\nCurrent automobile insurance meeting California minimum requirements.\nAbility to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.\nAbility to pass required background clearances and pre-employment screenings.\n\nPreferred\n\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation, Special Education, or a related field.\nExperience with Regional Center services and person-centered planning.\nExperience developing goals, progress reports, and program documentation.\nExperience providing staff coaching or program leadership.\n\nRequired Clearances\n\nEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of:\n\nCriminal background clearance\nDMV record review\nDrug screening (if applicable under agency
