{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"bfe1aba89ac5b4013f02cd2e","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/bfe1aba89ac5b4013f02cd2e","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/bfe1aba89ac5b4013f02cd2e","title":"Machine Operator","description":"Job Summary\nThis position will independently set-up, operate and troubleshoot one machine/equipment (Shear, PNL, Turret, Brake Press, Robotic Cell, Cut-to-Length, Roll Forming/Seaming, Press Lock).\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nSet-up, thread the material through, and operate independently one machine (Shear, PNL, Turret, Brake Press, Robotic Cell, Cut-to-Length, Roll Forming/Seaming, Press Lock, Welder/Paint Booth).\nFollow daily manufacturing work orders giving special attention to various materials and add any specific notations needed.\nAssists with the operation of other machinery under close supervision.\nAssist with the packaging at the end of the line and as needed.\nBand and palletize metal coils and/or metal sheets, place tags/labels on finished product.\nPerform quality checks to verify proper lengths, widths, and weights are adhered to using the proper tools.\nAchieving production goals while complying with all safety requirements.\nMounting and originating slitter knives, spaces, and guide discs for various specified coil widths; this includes adjusting clearances of knives and vertical/horizontal gapping (roll-former only).\nAdjust machinery by observation and using monitoring equipment feedback and perform quality control methods.\nResponsible for following all safety procedures including lockout/tagout and daily equipment inspection.\nResponsible for keeping work area in an orderly condition.\nWill be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned\nRequired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:\nMust be 18 years or older.\nHighly motivated with a good, sound work ethic.\nAble to safely operate a sit-down forklift – training will be provided if necessary; all production employees must complete CCM's forklift certification program regardless of previous experience.\nMust demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.\nAbility to follow CCM's policies, procedures, and processes.\nGood communication, organization, and time management skills.\nBasic computer, mathematics, and problem-solving skills; ability to use a calculator.\nAbility to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers).\nTeam player that is able to follow instructions from both management and peers.\nAbility to learn and operate new equipment.\nEducation and Experience:\nRequired:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent is required.\nMinimum of six (6) months of experience.\nWorking Conditions:\nFast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels.\nHours Worked: 40 hours per week; 1st\nDays/Week: Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM\nFlexible to the possibility of overtime and weekend hours when required.\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nOCCASIONALLY\n\nFREQUENTLY\n\nCONTINUOUSLY\n\n(0-30%)\n\n(31-60%)\n\n(61-100%)\n\nLIFTING OR CARRYING\n\n. 1-10 LBS\n\nX\n\n. 11-20 LBS\n\nX\n\n. 21-40 LBS\n\nX\n\n. 41-50 LBS\n\nX\n\n. 51 OR MORE LBS\n\nX\n\nPUSHING OR PULLING:\n\n. 1-40 LBS\n\nX\n\n. 41-50 LBS\n\nX\n\n. 51 OR MORE LBS\n\nX\n\nBENDING OR STOOPING\n\nX\n\nREACHING ABOVE SHOULDER LEVEL\n\nX\n\nDRIVING AUTOMATIC EQUIP.
