For over 50 years, the company has supported complex machinery installation, plant relocation, and maintenance projects using highly skilled tradespeople across a wide range of industrial sectors.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Close ManagementOwn the monthly close process, financial statements, and reporting calendarEnsure accurate preparation and presentation of:Income statementBalance sheetWork-in-Process (WIP schedule)Enforce accounting policies and internal controlsEnsure consistency with GAAPProvide leadership and direction to the accounting, AR, and AP staffManage relationships with CPA firm, lenders, and surety partnersPrepare annual audit workpapersContract Accounting & Revenue RecognitionOversee percent complete calculations (percentage of completion)Ensure proper recognition of earned revenue (WIP revenue)Review and approve contract asset and contract liability balances (under/over billings)Ensure accurate reconciliation between job costs, earned revenue, billings and contract balancesReview and challenge project manager forecasts for reasonableness and consistencyEvaluate cost-to-complete estimates and identify margin fade or gain Cash Flow & Working Capital ManagementMaintain visibility into:Operating cash balancesNear-term cash obligationsMonitor:Accounts receivable agingRetainage receivableAccounts payable obligationsCoordinate billing and collections timing with cash needsIdentify liquidity risks early and propose mitigation strategiesOwnership / Principal ReportingThe Controller acts as the single point of financial communication between the accounting function and Ownership.
